Banana Yogurt Popsicles

We love frozen treats all summer long but many store bought ones are loaded with food dyes, high fructose sugar, and lots of other unfamiliar ingredients. I love to make popsicles at home with my girls as we can control the ingredients and we know exactly what goes in them. These popsicles are great as they have the added benefit of plan yogurt which provides protein, fat, and a healthy dose of probiotics. The berries are loaded with fiber and packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Bananas add natural sweetness, providing a delicious and nutritious, no sugar treat.

If you are looking for a clean store bought option we love Good Pops. They are free of refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and food dyes. Good Pops are made with clean, simple ingredients are a great store bought option to have on hand.

Ingredients:

1 cup full fat plain goat yogurt (or yogurt of choice)

2 ripe bananas

2 cups frozen blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries

Directions:

  1. Blend together bananas and yogurt. If using Greek yogurt, you may need to add a little milk to help blend. The mixture should be pourable.

  2. Chop frozen berries.

  3. Place berries into the popsicle molds. Lightly pack down berries.

  4. Gently pour the yogurt mixture into each mold, allowing the mixture to settle and then top off as needed.

  5. Freeze and enjoy!

Amounts may vary depending on size of your molds. This recipe makes about 6 popsicles.

Happy Summer! I hope your family enjoys this fun and delicious treat!
